Notice Regarding Minors

Reference translation. This English version is provided for your convenience only and is not the legally binding text. In case of any discrepancy, the Chinese (简体中文) version prevails. This notice takes effect on 16 July 2026.

1. To Guardians

We value the privacy and interests of minor learners. This notice briefly explains to guardians how we collect, use, and protect the relevant information when booking an assessment, participating in training, or downloading materials for a minor learner.

2. Information We Collect (Data-Minimisation Principle)

We collect only the information necessary to carry out training:

  • The learner's name (or a pseudonym), sex, age group, and grade.
  • The guardian's name, relationship to the learner, contact phone number, and city/campus.
  • The training goals described by the guardian and the precautions they are aware of.

We do not collect the learner's ID-card number, the sensitive address of their school, information about other family members, or any personal information unrelated to the training purpose.

3. Guardian Consent

Submitting information or booking a course for a minor learner must be done by the guardian in person. Submitting the form is deemed the guardian's confirmation that they:

  • Have carefully read the Privacy Policy and this notice.
  • Consent to our processing of the learner's information for the purposes described in this notice.
  • Are aware that they may contact us at any time to access, correct, or delete the relevant data.

4. Informing the Learner

We encourage guardians to explain to the learner, in a manner appropriate to their age:

  • What information has been submitted and for what purpose.
  • That the learner has the right to decline to participate in or to end training, and will not be treated unfavourably for doing so.

5. Training Records

Process data generated by the learner within the training system (practice records, stage assessments) is used only for personalised training plans and instructional review; it will not be published or used for commercial advertising.

6. Information Sharing and Third Parties

Without the guardian's written consent, we will not provide a minor learner's identifiable information to third parties, except where it must be provided in the following circumstances:

  • Where expressly required by laws and regulations.
  • Where lawfully requested by judicial or regulatory authorities.
  • Where necessary in an emergency to protect the vital personal safety of the learner or others.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Default retention period: 12 months within the enquiry cycle; data not followed up beyond that period is anonymised or deleted.
  • Guardians may request early deletion at any time: call +86 400-006-2056 or email contact@kingbrains.cn.

8. Contact Us

To exercise any right or raise any question, the guardian or learner may contact us via:

  • Email: contact@kingbrains.cn
  • Phone: +86 400-006-2056 (weekdays 09:00–18:00)
